When Sophia and Ava were teeny little babies, it gave Triton and me the excuse to watch all the Disney animated movies. Secretly, our favorite ones were usually the princess stories (go figure), and Aladdin holds a special place in our hearts. In the Bailey-Klugh Family version of carpool karaoke, Jon and Sophia may or may not have been repeatedly heard singing a pretty awesome duet to “A Whole New World”.
Did you ever see the stage version at Disney’s California Adventure Park in Anaheim? It was pretty darn impressive, complete with flying carpet out over the audience and a very large elephant. Yup, this is our favorite of the princess movies by far.
Disney just knows how to do it right, and I don’t mind having my heartstrings pulled one bit. Hmmmm, wonder if I can get Sophia to sing with me in the car again?!?
