I am a Perdue Farms brand ambassador, and proudly cook with Perdue Farms products. The thoughts and ideas expressed here are my own, including my Lemon Rosemary Chicken recipe.
Right now, we are all about easy. With so much time on our hands while sheltering at home, we still want to make meals that are no fuss, no muss. I’ve been making this Lemon Rosemary Chicken recipe for years because it is so easy to make on the grill. Now seemed like a good time to share it with you as the weather starts to improve.
Any chance to get outside, right? We’ve got our grill parked on the side yard outside of our kitchen. Although it’s far from summer weather right now, we’ll take it. Time to roll out the grill and start enjoying those evening hours outdoors for some fresh air.

Honestly, my Lemon Rosemary Chicken recipe is stunningly easy. It’s all about the marinade, and here’s how to make it.
Grilled Lemon Rosemary Chicken Recipe
I tasted this dish once at a friend’s house, and have no idea whether I repeated his recipe or completely bastardized it. In either case, we love the way it turned out. Every time I make this Lemon Rosemary Chicken recipe, people gobble it up. It’s just as great for a family of four or a whole party full of people.

You’ll laugh when you see how easy it is to make.
Ingredients
(Serves 4, but easy to double or triple this recipe)
- 4-6 Perdue Harvestland organic bone-in chicken thighs (with skin)
- 2 Lemons, juiced
- 4 large sprigs of fresh rosemary, chopped into large pieces
- 2 cloves of garlic, finely diced
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
THAT’S IT!

Instructions
The chicken tastes best when it marinades for several hours.
Place chicken in a large ziplok bag. Mix all ingredients in a bowl, and then pour into bag with chicken. Seal bag and place in the refrigerator until ready for grilling. See? The easiest Grilled Lemon Rosemary Chicken recipe ever!
Set grill temperature for approximately 500 degrees with the lid closed.

Place chicken on grill skin side down first. The pieces will likely have rosemary leaves and garlic stuck to them, which is fine (good actually). Grill for about 5 minutes with lid closed. Open and flip the chicken to grill the other side for 5 more minutes with lid closed. Then open lid, flip chicken again to skin side down and grill with lid open for another 5 minutes or so. Flip the chicken and repeat.

Quick trick to know if the chicken is cooked: press down firmly on the top. If the chicken does not feel squishy or wobbly, it’s done. I know, this is hardly science. But it works for me!
Remove from grill and let sit chicken on a plate for a couple of minutes to settle.
This Grilled Lemon Rosemary Chicken recipe tastes delicious with some grilled asparagus and a side of flavorful rice pilaf or cous cous.
