Blender c/o KitchenAid, but opinions my own!
If your family is anything like ours, it’s difficult to get kids to eat a healthy breakfast during the week. Weekday mornings are a mad scramble at our house, and often there is little time for a full breakfast. Lately I’ve been finding ways to sneak in some vitamins and make them a high protein breakfast before they dash. These 5 healthy breakfast smoothie recipes have become household favorites. Add them to your list of healthy meal ideas!
Start With A Good Blender
First off, you need a good blender that has been designed for smoothie making. No joke, the KitchenAid K400 Stand Blender is a workhorse I am happy to add to my kitchen. So many blenders choke when you try to crush the ice in a smoothie concoction. They spin without mixing anything. Or sometime the ice doesn’t break into small pieces, and you end up with big pieces in your mouth.

Another thing I love about the KitchenAid K400 is the lightweight pitcher. It’s made from durable plastic, and easy to handle and clean. Plus the control dial even has a setting specifically marked for smoothies. It’s a great partner for me when I make my healthy breakfast smoothie recipes!
5 Healthy Breakfast Smoothie Recipes
Here are a few of our family’s favorites healthy breakfast smoothie recipes. I’ve chosen one from each of us, plus a bonus “dessert” smoothie for good measure. In addition, one of our daughters is milk-averse, so these are also lactose-intolerant smoothie recipes. These are easy healthy recipes – perhaps they will end up at the top of your healthy meal ideas list.
